The #2 quarterback in the Class of 2022 has decided to begin his collegiate journey a little earlier than expected.
Conner Weigman of Cypress-Bridgeland has decided to enroll early at Texas A&M in January, and as a result, is skipping the 2022 MLB Draft. Weigman is also a star at Bridgeland on the baseball diamond.
Aggies Head Football Coach Jimbo Fisher is happy. This move by Weigman means he will be on campus early and can go through workouts with the football team, and he can compete for a position on the Texas A&M baseball team.
As a sophomore at Bridgeland High School in 2019, Weigman threw for 2501 yards and 27 touchdowns.
In 2020, Weigman passed for 3803 yards and 42 touchdowns. He also posted:
- four games of 300+ yards passing.
- Three games with four passing touchdowns
- Three games with five passing touchdowns
- Three games with three passing touchdowns
He led a Bears offense that averaged 44 points per game over their 13 games played.
Also, Weigman went five consecutive weeks without throwing an interception. During that same time period, he threw for 1341 yards and 19 touchdowns.
For his prep career to this point, he has passed for 6304 yards and 69 touchdowns in two years.

Weigman is a stud dual-sport athlete. On the baseball field, he can play multiple positions: 3B, SS, OF, and RHP. He can hit and his athleticism allows him to make plays in the field. His speed on the base paths makes him a legitimate prospect for the Major Leagues.
Around the summer of his third year of college, he will have another decision to make.
