Celina returned to the mountaintop in 2024. The Bobcats won their ninth state title in school history with a 55-21 demolition of Kilgore in the 4A Division I State Title Game.
They’ll have a bonafide star leading them at quarterback in Oklahoma commit Bowe Bentley (3,328 passing yards and 47 touchdowns). He threw for 265 yards and five touchdowns on just nine completions in last year’s title game. He has a big target to aim for in Pittsburgh commit tight end Wyatt Villarreal (489 receiving yards and seven touchdowns).

However, defenses can’t just focus on the pass. Running back Logan Gutierrez (1,585 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns) gives the Bobcats a true two-dimensional attack.
Linebacker Luke Biagini (145.5 total tackles) is the unquestioned leader of the defense. He was last year’s District MVP. Fellow senior linebacker Peyton Anderson should step up alongside him this year.
Defensive end Cameron Lucas (10 sacks) will be Celina’s premier pass rushing threat, while the Bobcats will lean on the experience of cornerbacks Jacob Brown and Maddox McCoy and safety Case Chelf in the secondary.
With its best offensive and defensive player back from last season, Celina should be among the cream of the crop in 4A Division I this season.
