Even as a freshman, Cavazos is considered one of the top prospects in the country for the Class of 2020. He already has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, USC and Ohio State among others from several top programs.
Cavazos is being primarily recruited as a safety and should have plenty of opportunities to display his talents at the high school level. He also saw time as a running back with Steele last season as well.
After playing for a state championship his freshman season, Cavazos moves over to Seguin, a 5A program in the San Antonio area. The Matadors finished 2-8 last season and Cavazos should play a key role for a program whose last playoff appearance was back in 2006.
