With Hazen’s commitment, Wake Forest has nabbed 17 recruits from the 2021 class that rank inside the top 45 nationally.
“They are one of the best academic institutions in the country and they are playing high-level football in the ACC,” Hazen said. “It doesn’t get any better than that.”
The 6-foot-1 linebacker plays for The Woodlands College Park in the Houston area. As a junior, Hazen earned first-team all-district honors at linebacker in Texas District 15-6A for the second year in a row. In 2019, Hazen recorded 101 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, and eight sacks. Hazen’s breakout season was his sophomore season in 2018 where he posted 73 tackles— 17 for.a loss— and six sacks.
Hazen chose the Demon Deacons program over programs like Air Force, Army, Arizona, Texas, Kansas State, Baylor, Harvard and more.
