Brown is rated as a four-star receiver, per 247 Sports. He also becomes the second commit in the Class of 2019 for UCLA, joining cornerback Chris Steele of California.
It was a big sophomore season for the Panther receiver as he finished with 46 catches for 758 yards and 12 touchdowns. His play earned him the Offensive Sophomore of the Year Award in District 8-5A. At 6 feet tall, Brown is a playmaker on the outside for the Panthers and became a trustworthy option at receiver for senior quarterback Cam Roane, who signed with San Diego State.
Looking ahead to next season, the Panthers will have Brown and rising senior Ke’von Ahmad as options for the new Panther quarterback. With Brown having another year of experience and Ahmad recovered from his injuries he battled last year, the duo could prove to be one of the top receiver combinations in Texas.
As for Brown, he should have even more opportunities to shine as the Panthers look to make another deep run in the playoffs. Colleyville Heritage advanced to the Class 5A Division I regional finals before losing to Denton Ryan.
