The North Texas Mean Green may have finished with a losing record in 2016, but they made a bowl game and showed quite a bit of progress under first-year head coach Seth Littrell. Now, the Mean Green are trying to build some depth in recruiting and received some good news on Wednesday when Conroe offensive lineman Cole Brown committed to the Mean Green.
The commitment was first reported by Brett Vito of the Denton Record-Chronicle.

Brown had offers from North Texas and FCS McNeese State. He becomes the fifth commit in the Class of 2018 for the Mean Green. While still early on, North Texas has the second-highest recruiting Class in Conference USA only behind Louisiana Tech. (247 Sports)
Brown has shown his versatility as a lineman, playing tackle and also being able to move around to guard and center as well. He was a first team all-district selection for Conroe last season. After the Tigers finished 3-7 in 2016, he’ll look to be a mainstay up front as his team tries to improve on that mark from a year ago.
