Lewis was arrested following an alleged physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend in Ann Arbor back in March. The former Michigan standout was charged with domestic violence and assault and battery.
In a statement to NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport, Lewis’ agent, Kevin Poston, maintained that Lewis would be “exonerated” and “justice was served”.

Lewis also told John Counts of M Live, “I’m elated,” following the reading of the verdict.
The cornerback was a third-round selection by the Cowboys in the 2017 NFL Draft back in April. Head coach Jason Garrett and owner Jerry Jones had each publicly supported Lewis in the past, saying they had done their due diligence on Lewis, who had maintained his innocence throughout the entire process.
“I think it’ll be squashed, right then and there – that first trial date,” Lewis said following his selection back in April. “I’m just looking forward to getting into training camp.”
After missing the first two days of camp, Lewis is expected to report to training camp on Wednesday in Oxnard, California.
