Legendary Cowboys Linebacker D.D. Lewis talks about how an undersized
guy from Tennessee becomes a two time All-SEC Linebacker, a two time Super Bowl Champion, and inducted into the College FootBall Hall of Fame.
“Texas Stadium has a hole in its roof so God can watch His favorite team play
“. ~ D.D. Lewis
Lewis was a mainstay in the middle of the Cowboys’ Doomsday Defense in a career that saw him play in three different decades (1968-1981). He also played in 27 career playoff games, and the last three Super Bowls of the 1970’s. An owner of two Super Bowl rings, Lewis had 22 turnovers, including eight career interceptions.
In this podcast he also shares great stories about Bob Lilly’s eyeball test…wait, what….Yeah—you have to hear that one. He also talks about other legends of the game like Randy White, Ed “Too Tall” Jones, Mel Renfroe, Lee Roy Jordan, Walt Garrison, Mike Ditka and a whole lot more.
This is a “must hear” podcast for the ultimate Dallas Cowboys fan.
