Desoto Claims Victory in Battle of Texas Titans
Week 10 of Texas High School Football is here I’m based in the Houston area meaning I usually focus on Houston teams, but there was one game in Texas I had to write about. The Duncanville Panthers vs The Desoto Eagles. These are the top two teams in Texas Duncanville #1 and Desoto #2. No matter who wins it will be a great showcase of the best talent in Texas.
Duncanville Panthers
Quarterback #12 Keelon Russell is an excellent quarterback. Keelon has great precision and a strong arm he completed 30/39 passes and threw two touchdown passes. Keelon’s main wide receiver is #1 Dakorien Moore he’s fast off the snap, quick with great footwork. Dakorien caught two touchdown passes. Duncanville’s run game is nothing to sleep on with running back #29 Caden Durham is a tremendous and unstoppable running back he has explosive runs and can break out of almost any tackle.
Duncanville’s defense is one of the best in Texas and they have the best defensive end in the nation #8 Colin Simmons. Colin is a menace, a dawg, a threat he is many things and more. Colin is fast off the ball and has a long reach he was in the backfield numerous times this game and pressured Desoto’s quarterback and running back.
Desoto Eagles
Desoto has a versatile offense properly distributing the ball for runs and pass plays. Desoto’s quarterback Darius Bailey is a natural quarterback he has nothing but faith in his arm and his offensive line. Not even running or scrambling against Colin Simmons he was patient and stood calm in the pocket to complete his passes. Running back #27 Marvin Duffey is a strong and consistent runner fighting for every single yard. Marvin’s efforts granted his two rushing touchdowns.
Darius’ favorite wide receiver was #13 Daylon Singleton. Daylon was undoubtedly the fastest player on the field no one could rarely could especially on kickoff return when he ran for a touchdown with breakneck speed. As a wide receiver, Daylon caught two touchdown passes scoring three total touchdowns this game.
Conclusion
It was a hard-fought game by 1st quarter it tied 14-14, but in the 2nd quarter, Desoto took control of the game adding three touchdowns to their score whereas Duncanville only added one. The score was 35-21 at the half with Desoto’s lead. In the 3rd quarter, neither team managed to score, but during the 4th quarter, both Desoto and Duncanville scored two touchdowns each. This resulted in Desoto triumphing over Duncanville with a final score of 49-35.
