Walker becomes the first commitment in the Cougars 2018 recruiting class for new head coach Major Applewhite.
The versatile runner was all over the field for the Eagles, finishing with 809 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns in 2016.
Walker will be a key piece on offense for the Eagles next season. As head coach Todd Peterman said of his returners, “We’re replacing a lot of great kids, but with kids that were successful.”
With standout quarterback Shawn Robinson gone along with fellow running backs Jamonne Williams and Richie Washington graduating, Walker is next in line to become the leading rusher for the Eagles in 2017 as they try to defend their state title.
