Eagles Soar as Johnson City Shuts Out Center Point
It was Parents Night in Johnson City and they were treated to some outstanding football as Johnson City poured it on early and often and dominated Center Point 47-0.
Johnson City now owns a 9-1 record vs Center Point. After going 11-24 from 2018-2020, the Eagles have done a complete about-face and have a 7-2 record, and are eying a playoff berth.

It was the Eagles’ third shutout of the season and in the last three games, they have outscored their opponents 131-26. They currently are in sole possession of 2nd place in district 14-2A with a 3-1 record.
QB Cade Boyer was 5 of 6 passing for 162 yards and 3 touchdowns. The running game was in good hands as Tyler Lorenz and Haden Fox each scored a TD on the ground.
WR Nathan Axtell caught two of Boyer’s touchdown passes. He had 76 yards receiving for a 36.5-yard average. WR Ryan Shipley caught the other TD pass from Boyer, a 70-yard strike.
