Atascocita Overcomes Slow Start
Atascocita has struggled a little bit with starting slow this year. What’s the best recipe for that? Well, outside of getting a few turnovers in the first, you could just annihilate the team you’re playing in the last three quarters.
Atascocita beats Sterling 79-19 tonight outscoring them 63-6 after the first quarter #txhsfb

That is a very big number next to a not-so-big number.
A Recruiting Shocker
Jalen Reagor, easily one of the top pass catchers in the state and nation, flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to TCU last night. While not explicitly football action, we’ve seen recruiting play a big role in the statewide headlines this week, especially with the recruitment of seemingly every DeSoto player to Colorado.
If Reagor goes to TCU, will he bring undecided recruits with him, or will other top pass catchers not want to compete against him?
What’s Wrong With Keller Fossil Ridge?
A dream season has turned into a nightmare for the Panthers as they dropped last night’s contest 49-28 to Keller Central. At one point Fossil Ridge was the clear #1 team in their district, but a blowout loss to Abilene seems to have exposed the Panthers. Don’t count out Keller Central, they’re legit, but this is a Fossil Ridge team that’s not playing up to their own caliber.
Frisco Independence, Austin Reagan Win In Dramatic Fashion
In a game that never left the margin of a single touchdown for pretty much the entire game, Austin Reagan defeated Austin William Travis 55-54 in a shootout.
Frisco Independence won 38-35 in a crucial game against Wakeland, and is rolling right now with their 7-1 record. They still have Centennial and Lone Star left to play, so we’ll still get some dramatic football out of the Knights.
Vela Wins Big Over PJSA North
This matchup was one many were pointing to as one of the best matchups around the state, and it did not disappoint. Vela ended up winning the matchup, but both of these teams will be playoff forces to reckon with.
