A former DeSoto Eagle retired from the NFL ranks at the young age of 24. Zach Orr’s stint in college was with the North Texas Mean Green. He gained the starting job with the Ravens at the beginning of this season, and started 15 games before sustaining a shoulder/neck injury.
Source said Orr was playing with a cracked bone in his shoulder late in the season. He missed Week 17 with what was termed a neck injury.

Orr joined the Ravens in 2014 as an undrafted free agent, and worked his way into the starting lineup quickly. The young man was more than a solid starter for the Ravens, he was a second-team All-Pro after amassing 130 tackles, three interceptions, and a forced fumble.
Good luck to Orr as he starts the next phase of his life.
