Frenship Drops First Game Against Midland Legacy
This past Friday night, the Frenship Tigers traveled to Midland to take on the Midland Legacy Rebels, who were looking to end Frenship’s winning streak.
Frenship Tigers
Tigers Quarterback Hudson Hutcheson had a huge night, as he was involved in all 8 of the Tigers touchdowns. Hutcheson completed 34 of 48 passes, racking up 520 yards, throwing for 5 touchdowns Hutcheson also went to work on the ground, rushing for 81 yards and finding himself in the endzone 3 times. H tcheson connected with Chase Campbell 10 times for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Leyton Stone, who recorded 182 yards on 11 catches, getting into the endzone 3 times. B ooks Roberson (103 yards on 6 catches) and Landon Hutcheson (70 yards on 6 catches) also had a big night. T e Tigers running backs were not as successful on the ground, as Landon Hutcheson rushed for 25 yards on 6 carries, and Jaden Tackett only rushed once for 1 yard.
Midland Legacy Rebels
As powerful as the Tiger’s offense was, their defense had no answers for the Rebels, as Quarterback Marcos Davila completed 19 of 23 passes for a total of 258 yards, throwing for 4 touchdowns. D vila connected with Brex Stevens, racking up 132 on 6 catches and finding the endzone 3 times. A den Serrano caught 9 passes for 89 yards, and Jordan Williams, with 1 catch for 10 yards, was able to reach the endzone.
As effective as the Rebels were in the air, their ground game exploded as Damien Johnson rushed for 259 yards on 21 carries, finding the endzone 3 times. T mmy Johnson III could find the endzone, as he rushed for 18 yards on 6 carries. A d Gilbert Hernandez scored himself a touchdown, as he ran for 16 yards on his lone carry. The game was a back-and-forth affair, but the Rebels defense finally stopped Frenship, as Gilbert Hernandez intercepted Hudson Hutcheson to secure the win.

Next week, Frenship will look to bounce back as they take on Midland at home. Midland Legacy will continue its home stretch as they take on Permian.
