John Berry is returning to a familiar role.
After spending the last six years as head coach at Gladewater, Berry is leaving to be defensive coordinator at Longview.

Prior to his time with the Bears, Berry was the Lobos’ co-defensive coordinator and associate head coach during a 10-year stint with the program from 2000 to 2010.
He went 47-25 with five postseason appearances at Gladewater and joins a Longview team coming off an 11-1 season.
