The Grapeland Sandies won 39-29 over the Goldthwaite Eagles in a home playoff game at Waco ISD Stadium.
Grapeland established an early lead, ending the first quarter up 14-0. By halftime, they extended their advantage to 33-7. Goldthwaite mounted a comeback in the second half, outscoring Grapeland 22-6, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the early deficit.
Key plays included Grapeland’s punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter and multiple rushing touchdowns. Goldthwaite’s offense was highlighted by Luke Sanderson’s rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown to Zach Rodriguez.
