Houston Madison vs Fort Bend Marshall

Houston Madison Marlins

The Marlins are on a five-game winning streak. They are most definitely a rushing offense, gaining 2618 yards in nine games.

And the rushing attack is in the capable hands of RB Chase Devaughn. Devaughn has rushed for 1445 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 7.8 yards per rush. His high game was 281 yards and 2 Tds vs Austin, averaging 14 yards per carry in that game.

Devaughn has posted five games of multiple touchdowns, including the Northside game where he scored four rushing touchdowns. He has eight games of 100+yards rushing this season.

**Last week in a 30-7 win over Fort Bend Willowridge, Devaughn gained 137 yards on 24 carries to set the school single-season rushing record.**

And there is also another weapon in the rushing attack, quarterback Damon Jones. Jones has rushed for 1105 yards and 16 touchdowns, averaging nine yards per rush. He has posted six games of 100-yards+ rushing.

Last week vs Fort Bend Willowridge, Jones rushed 20 times for 246 yards and 3 touchdowns. He averaged 12 yards per carry.

He has also passed for 365 yards and seven TDs but has thrown 6 INTs this season.

Look for the Marlins to use this one-two punch rushing attack to wear down the Buffaloes and control the clock and give themselves a good chance at an upset.

Banks’ favorite target is WR Chris Marshall. Marshall has made 13 catches for 454 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 34 yards per catch.

  • Aaron McGowan: 410 yards, 6 TDs.
  • Jarrod Howard: 237 yards, 5 TDs.
  • Jyadrian Wortham: 5 rushing TDs.
  • Jordon Davis: 5 rushing TDs.
