Houston Roughnecks Star QB PJ Walker signed by Carolina Panthers

The XFL is already paying dividends.

Despite having the league’s second inaugural season recently cancelled due to the increasingly escalating concerns surrounding the coronavirus, it is serving its purpose.

Along with providing entertainment, the XFL was meant to act as a developmental league of sorts for potential NFL talent, and now it is.

The former Temple quarterback led the XFL in passing yards with 1,338 and touchdown passes (15) as the signal caller for the Houston Roughnecks.

Now, after getting a shot to shine in the XFL, Walker could become the next starting quarterback for the Carolina Panthers amidst the recent tension between Cam Newton and the organization.

This will be Walker’s biggest professional opportunity after spending two years on the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad.

The expectations are already sky high for Walker’s NFL revival, and it is easy to see why.
