Week four marked the start of district play in 9-5A DII with a matchup between unbeaten teams, as the Iowa Colony Pioneers (3-0) traveled to Stallworth Stadium to take on the Baytown Lee Ganders (3-0). Iowa Colony was fresh off three dominant performances, while Baytown Lee had an impressive showing last week, defeating crosstown rival Baytown Sterling. Both teams aimed to kick off district play on a strong note and maintain their perfect records.

Iowa Colony dominated the first quarter, scoring three quick touchdowns. Carson White opened with a five-yard rushing touchdown, followed by a 34-yard touchdown pass to Antoine Martin Jr. After a failed fake punt by Baytown Lee, White connected with Martin again for a 10-yard touchdown, ending the first quarter with a 21-0 lead.
Baytown Lee’s offense found their rhythm in the second quarter, scoring a touchdown with a 12-yard pass from Josiah Joseph to Elijah Brown. However, Iowa Colony responded with a touchdown from White to Jayden Warren, leading 28-14 at halftime.
In the second half, Baytown Lee struggled to gain ground as Iowa Colony extended their lead with a 30-yard touchdown pass to Ian Hill and a 27-yard touchdown to Warren. A 35-yard rushing touchdown by Denim Barnes capped off the scoring, resulting in a convincing 63-14 victory for the Pioneers.
