Both ESPN and USA Today Sports have confirmed reports on the future of Josh Gordon. Namely, that his application for reinstatement to the NFL was denied.
The path back to the NFL isn’t completely shut for Gordon. According to the report, he has another chance to get back in the league this fall.
Last summer, Gordon was conditionally reinstated, but never saw the field before checking into rehab in September. The last time he played football in the NFL was 2014.
When the former Houston Lamar and Baylor player will make his way back in the league is unknown. When he was playing he was incredible, he still holds two Browns franchise records, one for receiving yards in a game and the other for receiving yards in a season, both obtained in 2013. If he makes it back there’s a chance that he could be great, but he needs to make it back first.
