The Colorado train continues to roll right along in recruiting as the Buffs picked up a big time name last night: KD Nixon out of DeSoto.

The Eagles’ star was originally committed to Tennessee, but newly minted Offensive Co-Coordinator Darrin Chiaverini was able to sway the four star wide receiver after his July decommit.
Colorado has seen some hard times in recent years, but 2016 seems to have been the year that they’ve figured everything out. They’re 5-2, and their only losses have come at the hands of a dominant Michigan squad and a surging USC team. They look primed to be very good in the years to come, provided their recruitment keeps pace with their winning ways.
That’s where Nixon comes in. He’s an explosive playmaker, and can make you look absolutely stupid in the open field.
Nixon has a difficult job coming up this week: dealing with a talented 6-1 Duncanville squad that can surprise you if you aren’t completely prepared for it. There should be a little less on the senior’s mind heading into this game though, as it seems like he’ll make it official to Colorado on signing day.
