One of the more intriguing battles throughout the preseason was the battle between Kellen Moore and Cooper Rush for the backup quarterback spot behind Dak Prescott. And after all was said adn done during the preseason, it appears Rush has won the job and taken the spot from Kellen Moore.

The former Boise State quarterback was among the final roster cuts as NFL teams had to cut down to their rosters to 53 men. Per DallasCowboys.com writer Nick Eatman, the team hopes to keep Moore on the practice squad.

In the quarterback battle, Rush completed 38 of 51 passes for 398 yards in the preseason with six touchdowns and no interceptions while Moore finished 32 of 59 for 392 yards with one touchdown and one interception in four preseason games.

Moore finally saw action after missing all of the 2016 season due to an ankle injury that led to Dak Prescott take over. Per Todd Archer, Moore would be eligbile to rejoin the team as early as Sunday.
