The Lake Creek Lions mauled the Mustangs of Lamar Consolidated 61-14 on Saturday afternoon. The Mustangs were held scoreless in the 2nd quarter as Lake Creek raced to a 26-7 lead at halftime. They outscored Lamar 35-7 in the 2nd half and held the Mustangs scoreless in the 4th quarter.
Lamar got a touchdown run from Justin McCullough and an 86-yard TD catch from Jameil Robinson, the only scoring of the game for the Mustangs.

Lake Creek QB Parker Smith tossed a 38-yard touchdown pass to Sam Lee midway through the first quarter. RB Tyvonn Byars added two rushing touchdowns.

Lions K Jace Newkirk converted two field goals from 34 and 22 yards out.

Justin Freeney ran for a touchdown and Cason Pustka added two rushing touchdowns for the Lions.
In addition to his touchdown catch, Lee turned in a 65-yard kick-off return for a touchdown and a 48-yard punt return for a score.
Lake Creek improved to 4-0 on the season, while Lamar Consolidated fell to 2-5.
