One of the biggest surmised destinations for Tony Romo was Denver. According to John Elway and several reports from the Broncos organization, Denver has never really been an option for Romo.

So, where does one of the mainstays of the Cowboys during one of their most dark times in franchise history go? The smart money would be the Houston Texans, if Romo is going to play again. The Texans desperately need a veteran presence that’s had some success, the only quarterbacks they have on the roster are Tom Savage and Brandon Weeden. There’s still the option of picking up Tony Romo for a couple years to help groom a new quarterback that the Texans might pick up in the draft.
The other option for Romo is to go into the TV analyst field. CBS and Fox are reportedly after the veteran.
It's not just FOX in pursuit of Cowboys QB Tony Romo; it's also CBS making a strong push to add him to its team, per sources.

When healthy, Romo is a more than serviceable quarterback in the NFL. The question of his health is the big question for a lot of teams. He’s been injured multiple times over the past few years, often with season ending consequences. It’s likely that Romo’s days as a consistent starter are over, but the direct future of the quarterback is still up in the air.
