LSU Commit Garrett Nussmeier threw 5 touchdowns for the Flower Mound Marcus Marauders in their 49-10 win over Keller Central. He completed 19 of his 25 passes for 216 yards. The Marauders were up 28-7 at halftime, and with a five score lead in the third quarter, Nussmeier sat out the fourth quarter.
Flower Mound Marcus has been outside of our Top 25 Teams in Texas but now being 3-0 they may find their way into our Top 25. They opened the season with a 48-31 win over Dallas Jesuit and followed it up with a 27-10 win over McKinney. They were 11-2 last season and are looking at another great season. They will play Flower Mound next, on October 23rd. The Flower Mound Jaguars are 2-0, and if they beat Mansfield Timberview tonight, it could be a battle of two 3-0 teams.
The Keller Central Chargers fell to 1-2 with the 49-10 loss. They had lost last week, 21-24, to Fort Worth Brewer after winning their season opener, 10-7, over Arlington Sam Houston. They face Keller next on October 23rd as they look to improve on their 7-4 season from last year.
