Plainview finally scored with a field goal, bringing the score to 20-3 at the half.
In the second half, Cooper forced a fumble and scored again, increasing the lead to 27-3. Plainview found some rhythm, scoring their first touchdown to make it 27-10. Cooper added a field goal, but the Bulldogs responded with another touchdown to narrow the gap to 30-17. Despite Plainview’s late surge, the Pirates held on for the win.
Cooper defeats Plainview 30-17.
Next week, the Pirates will face the Wichita Legacy Leopards, who are 0-4 after a 49-19 loss to Abilene Wylie.
