The Malakoff Tigers dominated the Maypearl Panthers with a decisive 70-7 victory in the Area round of the Texas High School Football playoffs.
The game, held at Ennis’ Lion Memorial Stadium, showcased Malakoff’s offensive prowess and defensive strength.
Malakoff’s quarterback, Mike Jones, led the charge with 239 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Running back Jerrion Hall contributed significantly on the ground, adding multiple rushing touchdowns to the scoreboard. The Tigers’ defense was equally formidable, forcing turnovers and limiting Maypearl’s offensive opportunities.
This victory extends Malakoff’s winning streak to 28 games, underscoring their dominance in the 2024 season.
The Tigers advance to the next round to face Jefferson. Jefferson just beat Grandview 62-18.
