Midland Bulldogs Secure District Win Over Frenship Tigers
On Friday night the Frenship Tigers hit the road to take on the Midland Bulldogs in a highly anticipated district match up.

The Bulldogs’ ground game exploded, as they moved the ball easily the entire night. Stroman Bridges rushed for 209 yards on 9 touches, finding the endzone once, and Anthony Kolb rushed for 114 yards on 2 touches with a touchdown. The Bulldogs’ main man, Elijah Mccoy, racked up 3 touchdowns, carrying the ball 17 times for 123 yards. Quarterback Tristan Love had no success moving the ball through the air, as he completed only 1 pass to Stroman Bridges for 4 yards. The Bulldogs’ defense flew around the field the entire night as Turner Squire, Athen Dominguez, Noah Crumpler, and Michael Waters combined for 48 tackles. The group forced fumbles and kept the Bulldog offense in the game the whole night.
Frenship Tigers
Tigers Quarterback Hudson Hutcheson had another career night, as he completed 25 of 40 passes for 334 yards, throwing for 1 touchdown and rushing for another. Hutcheson also carried the ball 24 times for 91 yards. Hutcheson connected with receivers Leyton Stone 7 times for 141 yards and a touchdown, Landon Hutcheson 10 times for 58 yards, and Brooks Roberson 4 times for 51 yards. Running back Jaden Tackett ended his scoring drought as he fought his way into the endzone, gaining 18 yards on 5 touches. Jordon Hernandez also rushed for 13 yards on his 2 carries.
The Tiger’s defense was trying to keep them in the game, but with offensive turnovers it wasn’t enough, as Frenship fell s to Midland 38-28
Next week the Tigers will travel to Odessa to play Permian, who are coming off a 1-point win against Midland Legacy. Midland will look to continue their undefeated efforts at home against Odessa, who is also coming off a 1-point win against San Angelo Central.
