Former Texas assistant coach Jay Norvell has been on the job at Nevada since last December and he recevied some good news on Tuesday when he picked up a commitment form Bellaire Episcopal cornerback TayJon Martin.

Martin chose the Wolf Pack over offers from Air Force, Army, Navy, Louisiana Monroe and Texas Southern. He becomes the second commit in Nevada’s 2018 recruiting class, joining California quarterback Carson Strong.
The three-star cornerback is part of a very talented Knights squad that finished 9-2 a year ago and is looking to build off that heading into 2017. Heading into the season, the 6-foot corner will be relied upon by head coach Steve Leisz to make plays and be a factor in the secondary.
