Class 4A, Division I No. 6 Lampasas has been making an impact throughout the state all season.
Now, the Badgers are garnering national attention.
Lampasas senior receiver Jaylon Porter caught five passes for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns during Saturday’s 49-34 victory against Liberty Hill to clinch the Region IV championship.
But no reception was more impressive than his catch around a defender in the end zone.
In fact, the play was so impressive, it landed as the top performance on “You Got Mossed!” during the pregame of Monday Night Football prior to the contest between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.

For the season, Porter has 61 catches for 1,246 yards and 18 touchdowns heading into Friday’s state semifinal game against No. 2 Carthage.
