North Shore Football Player Killed
Tragic news out of Humble, Texas. Jarvon Coles, a Senior defensive player for the North Shore Mustangs, was killed at a house party in Humble, Texas.
Coles was a 5’9”, 190 lb safety and linebacker for the Mustangs. He was First-Team All-District in 2023. A standout on the football field, Jarvon was also a standout in the classroom, with an impressive 4.2 GPA. He was set to graduate high school this spring and was excited to attend Lamar University in the fall.
Reports are that police initially received a call reporting underage drinking at a house party in Humble, Texas. They received a second call reporting a teen passed out in the yard. When police arrived on the scene, they learned the teen, later identified as Jarvon Cole, had been shot. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, gunfire had come from a block away by one or two people who then fled the scene in an unidentified car.
Coles was the only victim. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with more information to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Jarvon and the North Shore community.
Many people from the North Shore team and community have expressed their condolences on X:
