Coppell deep-threat receiver Gabriel Lemons has committed to Oklahoma State, per his Twitter post:
I am beyond thankful to announce that I have decided to commit to play football at OSU #cowboyup18 @CoachTimDuffie @CowboyFB @CoachGundy pic.twitter.com/gmIx3c35qE

The three-star receiver chose the Cowboys over offers from Air Force, Illinois, and Indiana among others. He’s also the second Texas receiver to commit within the last few days after Kilgore wide receiver Jonathan Shepherd did so on June 8.
Lemons finished second on the Cowboys in yardage, tallying 616 yards for seven touchdowns. Fellow receiver Blake Jackson will return to Coppell, providing a one-two punch for a team that notched 10-wins last season.
At 6-2, Lemons provides decent height for his quarterback and his athleticism gives him the ability to play at cornerback on the other side of the ball.
Without a definitive leader in the post-Bob Stoops era, the Cowboys seems poised to make a run for the conference title. Lemons may have a starting receiver slot available when he graduates from Coppell next year. Cowboys receiver James Washington is entering his senior year and will likely be a high draft choice after after this season.
