Celina vs. Argyle
Fireworks should fly when the Celina Bobcats visit the Argyle Eagles on September 9th. Celina bounced back from a season opening loss last week, defeating Liberty Christian 55-31. Argyle took home a hard fought win over La Grange, and is on their way to getting back to the title game.
China Spring vs. Cameron Yoe
The Yoemen’s powerful offense will be a tough task for the China Spring Cougars. If China Spring’s defense can play as well as they did in the first two games, this one will be a classic. Cameron Yoe will have their hands full with China Spring’s option-based rushing attack.
Abilene vs. Abilene Cooper
The Crosstown Showdown in Abilene has a new theme this year: redemption. Both schools have suffered crushing losses; Abilene’s came in Week One against San Angelo Central, and Cooper’s came just last week against Grapevine. This rivalry never disappoints, and both teams are looking to get their seasons on track for a deep playoff run.
Katy vs. The Woodlands
The season is young, but Katy already has experiences in close games. The Tigers barely lost to Austin Westlake, and edged out Klein Collins this weekend. They’ll travel to another tough foe from the area, The Woodlands. For The Woodlands, the tough slate of their schedule starts now with Katy coming to town this week and a trip to Cinco Ranch on next week’s horizon.
Richland Springs vs. Zephyr
Legendary head coach Jerry Burkheart and his Coyotes are taking on a difficult 1A foe: The Zephyr Bulldogs. This game will be used as a measuring stick for playoff predictions for both teams.
