QB Parks Leads Kimball to Victory Over Hillcrest
QB Jerqualan Parks accounted for 304 total yards and four touchdowns, including what was the winning score to lead Dallas Kimball to a 26-24 victory over Dallas Hillcrest on Thursday night.
Kimball Knights
Parks passed for 119 yards and rushed for 185 yards, and RB Nitreoi Davis added 175 yards rushing. Davis was kept out of the endzone.
Kimball averaged 10 yards per rush on 36 carries.
WR Kyron Henderson was Parks’s favorite target last night, catching 7 passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns.
In the closing moments of the game, Kimball was faced with a 4th down and 10 situation around midfield. Parks took the snap and ran 45 yards for the go-ahead score. But Kimball needed a fumble recovery deep in Hillcrest territory to secure the victory.
But it wasn’t exactly the most well-executed victory. Kimball committed three turnovers in the game to go along with 12 penalties for 97 yards.
Hillcrest Panthers
QB Carter Sido kept Hillcrest in the game, passing for 222 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 68 yards rushing.
WR Reggie Williams (1 TD catch) and Shannon Cruse (2 TD Catches) were Sido’s primary targets.
Kimball is now 6-0, while Hillcrest fell to 3-3. The Knights take on South Oak Cliff next Friday, and the Panthers will face off against Dallas Jefferson also under the Friday night lights next week.
