After a five-year run under Ken Campbell, the Reagan County Owls have found their successor. Reagan County ISD has hired Blake Weston as their next head coach. The move was reported by Jake Gadon of CBS 7 in Midland-Odessa on Monday.
Weston spent the last nine seasons at district rival Sonora High School as an assistant coach, including as a co-offensive coordinator this past season.
Weston replaces Campbell, who resigned to take on a full-time athletic director position within the school district.
Reagan County went 26-26 under Campbell, including a 9-2 record in 2016. The Owls finished second in District 3-3A Division II where they fell to Coleman in the bi-district round of the playoffs.
