As it stands, 22 reported offers stand between Brennan Eagles and his future on the college gridiron. It is no surprise how highly recruited this 6-3, 215 Alief Taylor wideout is.
With six of the 22 offers coming from the SEC’s best including Florida, Mississippi State, LSU, and Auburn, Eagles looks destined for big things in his future. Among the other future potential homes for the No. 5 WR in Texas are the likes of Oklahoma, The Ohio State University, and Texas, which looks to be the early frontrunner for this young talent’s signature.
Judging from the tape, schools can see that not only does Eagles possess the size and strength to dominate the oppositions defensive backs, but also has the leaping ability that makes him such a viable threat in the end zone. In a four-game span this past season, the Lions’ star had 18 receptions for 500 yards and 6 touchdowns. It was stats such as these that landed his unanimously on the All-District team and helped Taylor to a 9-2 record.
Eagles draws comparisons to the likes of Julio Jones of the Atlanta Falcons and Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals, receivers who are physical at the line of scrimmage, but have the finesse to win the ball in the back corner of the end zone. The profile continues to increasingly grow as Eagles is planning to attend OU’s junior day later this month.
All the attributes needed to become a premiere wide out in the college ranks are seen in Brennan Eagles’ arsenal. With the potential of this recruit, the sky is the limit on the amount of offers that he will receive over the course of the next year, but it will ultimately fall upon him to see when and which opportunity he will seize.
