From no offers to one of the nation’s fastest rising prospects, the rise for Cuero TE Bralen Taylor has been rapid.
Now, after announcing his top 6 potential destinations, where this three-star standout is heading the question everyone in the football world wants to know. Standing at 6-8, 220 pounds, it’s hard not to recognize the type of strength and size that is evident in this rising senior’s frame. There are not many at the Cuero star’s level that can catch the way he does, nearly towering over defenders on most receptions.
Listed at tight end, Taylor can also be spread out wide, using his deceptive speed, not necessarily synonymous with a taller wide out, to be a nearly impossible target to contain. He also is a viable asset in the running game and with his run blocking ability, he can be the complete package for one of the six programs he decides to grace with his services in 2018.
As mentioned before, Taylor announced his top six schools which included Baylor, Houston, Miami, Nebraska, Oregon, and TCU. While looking at the style of offense, potential quarterbacks behind center, and overall comfortability within the program, it makes sense that these six school’s made the final cut for Taylor’s signature.
However, early odds makers are suggesting Matt Rhule and his Texas high School coach-ladened staff will provide the best opportunity for Taylor to reach his full potential at the next level. With an explosive range of talent set to be making their way down to Waco in the next couple of seasons, Taylor could be a massive part of the resurgence of the Bears if he decides that the green and gold is his ultimate destination.
