After a coming-out party of sorts in his junior season, the Eagles DB is starting to produce some buzz from schools around the state and nation. As of now, two offers sit on the table for the rising senior in Arkansas State and Louisiana-Lafayette.
What many fail to realize is that this player is special in his own regard, but the school that can tap into the development side of Blaylock will ultimately get the total package.
Standing at 5-11, 180 pounds, it’s a standard for many defensive back across the nation. But, what people may not know about him (outside of the Houston area) is how fast he really is. The hype on his speed is real, even being mentioned as one of the best in the Houston area by VYPE for track athletes. He’s also shown great strength and the ball-hawking and playmaking abilities that speak for itself.
Mix all those ingredients together and this could be a potential prospect that turns even more heads this season. With Atascocita being amongst the state’s elite and looking good to stay there in 2017, it could pay major dividends for Blaylock’s recruiting process. Playing against the best of the best will ensure that he is gauged against the top talent, as well as knowing he will be getting looks from that talent’s pursuers.
