Recruiting Analysis: Somerset QB Zadock Dinkelmann

Heading into his senior season at Somerset, Zadock Dinkelmann has an immense decision to make regarding his future – but watching him take the field at Bulldog Stadium, one would not even know.

The rising senior, who is the nephew of former Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer, is trying to follow in the footsteps of the family and give himself the best chance at reach the heights his uncle once did. After recently decommitting from LSU earlier this year, Dinkelmann now holds offers from UTSA, BYU, and Louisiana Monroe with future offers sure to follow.

Looking at his potential destinations, some sources are indicating that the Bulldogs signal-caller is leaning toward UTSA, where Frank Wilson will be keen to receive the signature of the pro-style quarterback. He will face stiff competition if UTSA is indeed the destination, with San Antonio Clemens quarterback Frank Harris set to play for his hometown school as well.

Possessing poise and moxie in the pocket and paired with a 6-4, 220 pound frame, it is no wonder why Dinkelmann is highly regarded in the recruiting ranks. With a favorable schedule and added talent in Somerset, this fall is set out to be a coronation of sorts for Dinkelmann. It will ultimately be up to him to rise to the occasion and show everyone what they can expect at the level.
