Former first round pick Justin Gilbert is now facing even more trouble with the NFL. Per Ian Rappaport of NFL Network, Gilbert has been suspended for one year by the league.

As of right now, there is no clear word as to whether this suspension is on top of the earlier punishment or whether it was a separate violation.
The former Huntsville and Oklahoma State product was previously suspended for four games for disobeying the NFL’s substance abuse policy and was given the lengthy sentence after a second violation.
Both Gilbert and Johnny Manziel were selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 2014 Draft. After being shipped to Pittsburgh, he played 12 games for the black-and-yellow last year, before he was released in February.
At 25 years old, the cornerback has floundered as a pro so far, totaling 34 tackles and one interception in three years. It’s likely we will never see the Huntsville standout don pads in the NFL again.
