The start of the Deshaun Watson era appears to have arrived sooner than expected. According to a report from James Palmer and NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Watson will make his first career start on Thursday when the Texans travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals.
#Texans coach Bill O'Brien didn't announce his starting QB, but there is decision. Rookie Deshaun Watson will start, per @JamesPalmerTV & me

Head coach Bill O’Brien has yet to publicly announce any decision.
The first-round pick entered Sunday’s game in the second half in their game Sunday against Jacksonville after incumbent starter Tom Savage struggled in the first half of the game after throwing for just 62 yards and fumbling twice. Watson entered the game and led the Texans on their only scoring drive of the game. Overall, he finished 12-of-23 for 123 yards passing with a touchdown pass, an interception and a lost fumble.
O’Brien may be hoping that Watson may be the better option in terms of mobility after the Jaguars sacked the Texans 11 times on Sunday.
