It appears that Tyler Lee has moved quickly to find their next leader of the program. As first reported by Justin Wells and ETSN.fm, the Tyler Independent School District is expected to hire Gilmer offensive line coach Kurt Traylor as the next head coach of the Red Raiders.
Per ETSN, there is a press conference scheduled for Monday afternoon.

The move comes just weeks after former head coach Clayton George resigned after just one season. George resigned hours after the Red Raiders spring game on May 25 citing family reasons.
Kurt Traylor is also the brother of Jeff Traylor, who spent the last two seasons working under Charlie Strong at Texas and is now the running backs coach at SMU.

The Red Raiders finished 2-8 last season and have only made the playoffs once since 2010. If approved, Traylor would become the fourth head coach at Tyler Lee since 2010. He would also have plenty to work with on offense, especially with rising senior quarterback Chance Amie.
