The Rebels went 10-2, taking losses to Colleyville Heritage in the regular season and Denton Ryan in the playoffs. It’s definitely unfortunate that they met Denton Ryan so early in the playoffs, Spencer Sanders and crew seemed destined for a state championship berth until Sanders’ injury.
Richland will return to the field to take on Nolan Catholic on September 1st. The Rebels will also take on an underrated Keller Central team in week two before heading into a tough district slate that will feature Grapevine and Colleyville Heritage.
