One of the top linebacker prospects in the Class of 2018 is heading outside the Lone Star State to play college football.
Rockwall linebacker Alston Orji announced his commitment to Vanderbilt on Tuesday night. Orji chose the Commodores over offers from Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and TCU among others.

Per 247 Sports, Orji is the top inside linebacker prospect in Texas and ranked seventh in the country in that position. He becomes the fourth commit in the Class of 2018 for Vanderbilt and the first Texan in the class as well.
In 2016, Orji posted 58 tackles for the Yellowjackets en route to a spot in the area round of the playoffs. He was a second team all-district selection as a defensive lineman last season as well.
