ROUND ROCK, Texas – Texas high school football playoffs are serious, for proof, look no further than a few Texas mayors.
The Twitter account for the city of Round Rock sent this out today.
The mayors of @roundrock and @PflugervilleTX just finalized a friendly wager in advance of an epic state quarterfinal rivalry football game taking place this Saturday! We can't wait to see Mayor Morgan receive a victory pizza!!! #GoCedarRidge #RRProud pic.twitter.com/s95kYTUouv

Mayor Craig Moran and Pflugerville mayor Victor Gonzales are wagering using a box of pizza and a box of donuts. Their teams, Cedar Ridge and Hendrickson, meet this Saturday evening.
This is just one of many examples on how serious Texans take their high school football.
