After former head coach Jeff Fleener left to take the same position at Mesquite, San Antonio Brandeis has stayed in house to find his replacement. Defensive coordinator David Branscom was promoted to become the next head coach of the Broncos. The move was first reported by Adam Zuvanich of the San Antonio Express-News on Friday.

In his two seasons at Brandeis, Fleener compiled a 14-9 record and two playoff appearances. The Broncos finished tied for second in District 28-6A with San Antonio Brennan in 2016.
This is the first head coaching position for Branscom and he will look to maintain a young program that has made the playoffs for eight straight seasons.
