The Seattle Seahawks added some Texas muscle up front after drafting Syracuse defensive lineman Alton Robinson (Converse Judson) with the 148th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on Saturday.
Robinson becomes the first former Texas High School Football star selected in Round 5 of the NFL Draft. He hopes to help Seattle improve from an 11-5 season and a trip to the NFC Divisional Playoffs in 2019.
The Seahawks also selected Texas Tech linebacker Jordan Brooks (Houston Stratford) with the 27th overall pick during Thursday’s opening round.
Robinson had 46 tackles, four sacks and nine tackles for loss for the Orange in 2019 and was an all-Atlantic Coast Conference Honorable Mention.
While at Judson, Robinson earned an Associated Press All-State Honorable Mention in 2015.
