Williams is the second commitment for the 2021 recruiting class headed to the Rainbow Warriors. Hawaii is coming off of a 10-5 season and recently hired Allen coach Todd Graham as its head coach.

The 5-foot-10 safety transferred to Southlake from Mansfield Legacy in 2019 where he played junior varsity for the season. Carroll’s coach, Riley Dodge, said Williams would have started on the Dragons’ varsity roster had the UIL not ruled him ineligible following his transfer. The Dragons went 13-1 in the 2019 season and reached the regional finals.

Hawaii initially offered Williams a spot on the team in early April and is currently the junior’s only offer. Williams also ran track for Southlake Carroll where he posted his personal-best times of 11.14 in the 100 meters and 23.51 in the 200 meters.
