There were a ton of outstanding performances by quarterbacks in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Friday night. Here are some of those performances (in no particular order).
Stars of Friday Night: Dallas-Area Gunslingers
QB Cergio Perez, Garland:
Perez passed for 250 yards and 6 touchdowns, 2 INTs in a 41-14 win over Rowlett. Perez is one yard shy of 3000 yards passing (he has 2999 yards) and has thrown 48 touchdowns and 6 INTs (280 pass attempts). He has completed 73% of his passes.
QB Caden Dotson, Lake HIghlands:
Dotson could hit a dot anywhere on the field last night. He was 15 of 17 (88%) for 343 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-14 win over Richardson.
He now has 1933 passing yards on the season, with 23 TDs, and just three INTs. Dotson has completed 71% of his passes.
QB Braeden Locke, Rockwall:
Locke passed for 479 yards and six touchdowns and one interception in a 52-26 win over Mesquite Horn. He has 2716 yards passing and 27 touchdowns and eight INTs on the season.
QB Alex Orji, Sasche:
Orji posted 106 yards passing and a touchdown, and he added 125 yards rushing and three TDs on 15 carries in a 38-7 win over Wylie. His current season stats: 1951 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 5 INTs.
QB Jack Fishpaw, Coppell:
Fishpaw was 13 of 15 passing (86%) for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 27-21 win over Plano East. He now has 1978 yards passing and, 15 touchdowns, and 7 INTs on the season.
QB AJ Padgett, Frisco Reedy:
Padgett posted 307 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, and 2 INTs in a 41-7 win over Frisco Centennial.
QB Keldric Luster, Frisco Liberty:
Luster shined last night as he passed for 430 yards, six touchdowns, and 1 INT in a 49-44 win over Denison.
QB Brendan Sorsby, Lake Dallas:
Sorsby threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-38 win over Frisco Memorial.
QB Patrick Burke, Episcopal School of Dallas:
Burke passe for 381 yards, 4 touchdowns, and one INT in a 51-30 win over St. Marks.
QB Kennen Miller, Mansfield Lake Ridge:
It was Miller time as he passed for 266 yards and four TDs in a 54-35 loss to DeSoto.
QB Craig Dale, West Mesquite:
Dale threw for 394 yards and three TDs and 2 INTs in a 60-28 loss to Highland Park.
QB Brennan Storer, Highland Park:
Storer passed for 259 yards and three touchdowns on 12 of 18 passing (66%) in a 60-28 win over West Mesquite.
QB Glenn Rice, Lancaster:
Rice was showing off precision passing in a 63-0 win over Sunset. He was 10 0f 12 (83%) for 237 yards and four touchdowns.
QB Jamarion Lewis, Corsicana:
Lewis threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns, and one INT in a 63-40 loss to Crandall.
QB Kevin Henry-Jennings, South Oak Cliff:
Henry Jennings passed for 427 yards and five touchdowns in a 59-7 win over Kimball.
QB Jayvont Williams, Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal:
Williams threw for 271 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-16 win over John Paul II.
