Texas HS Football Friday Lights Out and Taylor Arenz were on hand to watch the Summer Creek Bulldogs do battle with the Humble Wildcats on Friday night at Turner Stadium.
Summer Creek dominated from the start, with Summer Creek going up 21 in the second quarter led by QB Jahrik Jones who accounted for two first-half touchdowns, one rushing and one passing. Humble got on the board with a late second-quarter touchdown run to make it 21-7 at halftime. The teams would both struggle a bit on offense in the second half, both with one touchdown for a final score of 28-14.
After the game, Taylor caught up with winning Head Coach, Kenny Harrison:
Summer Creek moves to 3-2 and 2-0 in District 21-6A in a three-way tie for first with North Shore and the Atascocita Eagles. They face Atascocita in the last game of the season, but up next is our #1 ranked team in Texas, North Shore.
The Humble Wildcats fall to 2-3 and 0-2 in district play. They face the 0-5 Beaumont West Brook Bruins next week as they look to get back to .500 and get their first district win of 2022.
